Temple Cycles was first started by Matt in 2012 while he was studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol. Growing up, he was transfixed by the joys of all things two-wheeled, and spent countless weekends out and about in the Somerset countryside, riding all sorts of bikes in a variety of ways. At University, he started repairing vintage bikes from the 60’s to the 80’s, and grew to love their dependable and elegant designs. So, in 2014, he saw the potential in creating something from scratch, and he went about designing a range of vintage inspired bikes.

Since then, we’ve built a reputation for exceptional products and outstanding service. We have expanded our lineup to include a versatile range of bikes that each possess the timeless aesthetics of the old classics, combining brand new materials and technology that outperforms much of the competition. This includes our new range of E Bikes that maintain the high quality and classic designs that our customers have come to expect from a Temple bike.
